Provider keys / BYOK

ChatGPT / MCP connector

The MCP connector allows authorized ChatGPT sessions to communicate with the local FrameEdge panel through a controlled gateway. Sensitive After Effects actions remain subject to local panel approval depending on your settings.

  1. Open FrameEdge inside After Effects.
  2. Go to the MCP/System area and enable MCP mode.
  3. Copy the FrameEdge authorization sentence or connector information shown by the panel.
  4. Connect ChatGPT using the FrameEdge MCP connector flow.
  5. Approve sensitive actions from the local panel when required.

Updates

FrameEdge includes an update system that checks the Cloudflare update service for release manifests. The local server handles download, verification, staging, apply, and rollback workflows where supported.

Troubleshooting

  • If the panel does not connect, restart the FrameEdge local server from the System or license screen.
  • If license activation fails, confirm the license key, internet connection, and device limit.
  • If AI features fail, confirm your provider API key and provider quota.
  • If After Effects does not show the panel, restart After Effects and confirm CEP extension installation.
