Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 14, 2026

FrameEdge is an AI-assisted workflow panel for Adobe After Effects. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the FrameEdge website, account system, panel, license services, beta builds, and related services.

Information we collect

FrameEdge may process information needed to provide its features, including prompts, selected settings, project context, script requests, caption text, SRT content, icon or asset search queries, provider configuration, license status, update status, and diagnostic logs.

Google sign-in and account data

When you sign in with Google, FrameEdge may receive your Google account identifier, email address, display name, and profile picture. We use this information to create your FrameEdge account, show your account page, manage trial eligibility, issue licenses, prevent repeated trial abuse, and provide support. FrameEdge does not receive or store your Google password.

License and device data

FrameEdge may process license keys, plan type, activation status, expiration date, device ID, device name, app version, After Effects version, panel version, activation time, and last-seen time to validate licenses, enforce device limits, prevent trial abuse, deliver updates, and provide account support.

How we use information

We use information to operate FrameEdge features, generate or repair scripts, process captions, connect to selected providers, improve reliability, troubleshoot issues, verify licenses, deliver updates, and respond to support requests.

AI providers and third-party services

Some features may use third-party AI or API providers such as Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, Pollinations, Deepgram, Iconify, Openverse, Cloudflare, Google sign-in, or other configured services. When a third-party service is used, data necessary for that feature may be sent to that provider according to its own terms and privacy practices.

API keys and user configuration

Where supported, FrameEdge may let users provide their own API keys. Those keys are used to connect to the selected providers. Users should only use limited, appropriate API keys and should not share global or overly broad credentials.

Local processing and After Effects integration

FrameEdge is designed to run as an Adobe After Effects panel with a local Node server and ExtendScript/JSX integration. Some processing may happen locally on the user’s computer. Actions that modify After Effects projects should be reviewed by the user before use.

Logs and diagnostics

FrameEdge may create local logs or diagnostic information to help troubleshoot startup, provider, license, update, MCP connector, caption, asset, and script execution issues. Users may be asked to share relevant logs when requesting support.

Data retention

During development and testing, retention practices may evolve. Local settings, logs, license state, provider configuration, and device identifiers may remain on the user’s device unless removed by the user or by FrameEdge’s settings or uninstall process. Account and license records may be retained while needed to provide access, prevent abuse, or comply with operational/legal requirements.

Data sharing

FrameEdge does not sell user data. We may share limited information with third-party providers only as needed to deliver requested features, maintain infrastructure, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

Security

FrameEdge is designed with review controls, validation layers, signed sessions, OAuth state checks, license validation, and session authorization where applicable. No system can guarantee absolute security, so users should review generated outputs and protect credentials.

Children’s privacy

FrameEdge is intended for creative professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

FrameEdge is currently in development/testing beta, so this Privacy Policy may change before or after public release. Updated versions will be posted on this website.
